Inviting external users to your Ondash platform is a straightforward process that allows you to bring new members into your workspace, whether they are Admin Staff, Team Members, or Guests. Each role provides different levels of access and capabilities within Ondash, tailored to suit various collaboration needs. This guide will walk you through the steps to invite external users under your admin account.
Steps to Invite an External User #
1. Log In as Admin #
- Ensure you are logged into Ondash with your admin account credentials to access the full range of administrative functionalities.
2. Access Email Invites #
- Click on your profile icon located in the top right corner of the Ondash interface.
- From the dropdown menu, select “Email Invites” to navigate to the invitation feature.
3. Initiate the Invitation Process #
- Within the Email Invites section, click on the “Send Invites” button to start the process of inviting new users to your platform.
4. Fill Out User Details #
- A form will appear where you’re required to enter the details of the users you wish to invite. Fill out this form with the necessary information of the external user(s).
5. Select Profile Type #
- Choose the appropriate profile type for the new user. The options include:
- Admin Staff: Full access to backend and platform management.
- Team Member: Access to knowledgebase, e-learning modules, projects, and instant messaging.
- Guest: Limited access, typically to specific projects and messaging.
- Note: The user roles significantly impact what users can see and do within Ondash.
6. Customize Invitation #
- Tailor the subject line and message of the email invitation to fit your needs or to convey any specific instructions or welcome messages to the new user.
7. Select Groups for Invitation #
- If applicable, select any groups within Ondash you’d like the invited users to join. This step is optional and can be used to streamline the onboarding process by integrating new users into relevant teams or projects immediately.
8. Send the Invites #
- Once you’ve completed the form and made your selections, click the “Send Invites” button to dispatch your invitations.
